• Recognition of the sick patient

• CPR in adults and paediatrics

• Basic airway assessment and management

• The choking adult

• The choking child

• Medical emergencies in practice scenario based training. Anaphylaxis, seizures, Asthma hypoglycaemia, chest pain/myocardial Infarction

• Drug administration and injection technique

• Oxygen resuscitation

• Oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry

• Communication and non- technical skills

• Orientation to AEDs and practical use of an AED

• Failed sedation
