I have 30 years experience in anaesthetics and critical care. I have seventeen years critical care experience and currently work as Senior Sister in an Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit in a busy district general hospital.

This role involves the care and management of severely ill and injured patients who require advanced airway and ventilator support. I play an active educational role departmentally and within the NHS instructing and training staff in Advanced Life Support and the recognition and management of Medical and Surgical Emergencies.

This role has been singled out locally by the receiving of a Recognising Excellence Award. I have participated in the training and examination of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue personnel in Defibrillation and First Responder Training.

I instruct regularly throughout the year on on nationally recognised adult advanced life support courses.
